Core Temperature

I have a Dell Computer with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 1.69 GHz. It is very hot and according to CoreTemp the four cores are running at 99C to 101C. I was told by a technician (where I have this computer under extended warranty) that Intel says this temperature is normal for this processor. But whenever it gets this hot it starts acting weird. Is this temperature really normal for this processor? Thanks

Hello AlfredOsorio,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I can imagine how frustrating this situation is for you.

To assist you further, I would like to confirm the following:

1. Can you take a picture of the temperatures?

2. Are you presenting high-temperature spikes? Or, Is the CPU at 101C for long periods of time?

3. What is the operating system installed as well as the version and built?

4. What is the exact model of your Dell computer?

5. What is the BIOS version installed?

6. Is your computer crashing or getting Blue Screen of Death?

7. Have you checked this behavior with Dell?
