The Intel spec page for the i7-8650U doesn't list about the TSX-NI feature. It's 8th gen cousin the i7-8550U lists under the Advanced Technologies section of the spec though that there is no TSX-NI in that chip.

The information about this aspect of the 8650u simply is not available on any online reference source that I could find. So we may have to wait for a member of the processor team to confirm, which I suspected would be the case. I wanted to try anyway.

raccoon: I just received some updates on the research we were doing on this matter and the thing about this processor is that is still an unreleased product, as per the announcement, it might be released on October. Unfortunately, for that reason, there is no information available yet for this unit, let me apologize for that, but any update can be reviewed on Intel News Room.
Thank you very much to MartyG also for the comments posted previously.
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Alberto R

The processor is listed as having launched in Q3 2017, but its Intel processor specification page hasn't been updated with details of whether it supports TSX-NI.
