Does i7 900 series support VT-d?

In Intel's sheets, they don't specify whether the 900 serie supports VT-d. This item ("Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d)") is simply not listed for the 900. It is supported for the 800 series, but for the 900 they only specify VT-x... they say nothing (not a yes, not a no) about VT-d.

I need this fonctionnality to be able to virtulize a Macintosh VM on my Intel PC...

It seems that i7 900 does not support VT-d

We do not understand why intel has not included this technology in the new i7 CPU!

Will vt-d be included in the future intel cpu?

This isn't a CPU feature, like the VT-x.

VT-d is a motherboard feature.

Chipset feature actually. So first you need to know what chipset is being used and second if the BIOS on the mother board enables it.

Not Sure which motherboard you have but I just built an ASUS P6X58D Premium with a 980X CPU and the MB supports VT-d in the bios and when selected the CPU is supposed to have VT enhanced instructions in the new AES to support the technology. I had run Sandbox on my old pc and used it to establish a virtual PC with different MS Os than my basic computer setup, but I have not tried it with a Mac Os. I hope this helps.
