Hi All
I hope someone can help me.
I noticed drive issue in the device manager - PCI Simple Communication Controller.
I tried to reinstall driver but no luck.
I checked the device id PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_C0A2144D&REV_06\3&11583659&0&B0 and it is referring to 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset HECI Controller.
Can someonce advise where can i download the correct driver for this device?
My system is WIN 7 64 bits.
Thank you all .

Thank you Scott.
I had the same problem.
Your HECI 6.0 did the job for me.

Hello Andrew4666,
Were you able to try the steps suggested by Scott Pearson? If the issue persists, please provide the model of the motherboard/system you have.

Hi Scott
I saved the files in a local folder. Manually update the device's driver via device manager and point to the folder that I saved in local.
Thanks

Name already exists? I don't understand.
Are you seeing this name in Device Manager (under System Devices)?

Hi Scott
Nope, I didn't see device in under System device.
I tried to update the driver again for the "unknown device", but now I see a different message.
Thanks

Hello Andrew4666,
Thank you for your response.
The support for Intel® 3400 Chipset has been discontinued Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, but perhaps fellow community members have the knowledge to jump in and help. You may also find the Discontinued Products website helpful to address your request.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/discontinued-products.html
Upon checking the information provided I can see that this is a Samsung computer so my recommendation is to contact the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Samsung and look for the chipset driver on their official website, especially since this is a chipset driver, the OEMs customize the drivers for their systems.
Based on the error code 28, it indicates that the driver is not installed.
