Dear colleges,

There is one processor with suffix P in 3rd gen Xeon processor list. It is Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8358P Processor . Suffix "P" - it is optimization for IaaS. What features available in this processor witch is not available in other processors?

Best regards, Andrei.

Additionally, you can check https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark.html#@Processors and compare within our processors the different features.

Hello Sergio,

Thanks for answering.

However, I have seen this links that you provided. It is general description. And I just want to know what main advantages 8358P for IaaS.

So, could you ask your team, what does "Processor specifications optimized for IaaS cloud environments" exactly mean on https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000059657.html or what kind of optimization Intel did in this processor?

I saw noting about this on ark.intel.com or cloud systems description link that you provided.

Could I use any advantages of this type of processor in IaaS cloud environment based on VMware vSphere product? I asked it because it could be vendor specific features witch is not compatible with VMware product.

Best regards,

  Andrei.
