Thank you very much for taking the time to reach the Intel Communities Team, asmjoelty. I will do my best to assist you further.
Firstly, please keep in mind that the Thermal Design Power (TDP) of the https://ark.intel.com/products/123613/Intel-Core-i9-7900X-X-series-Processor-13_75M-Cache-up-to-4_30-GHz?q=Intel%C2%AE%20Core%E2%84%A2%20i9-7900X%20X-series%20Processor%20(13.75M%20Cache,%20up%20to%204.30%20GHz) Intel® Core™ i9-7900X is 140W. We recommend using a heatsink capable of dissipating more than 140W if possible; in that way, the processor will stay cooler and you will avoid having overheating issues. In overall, liquid cooling solutions are able to handle these temperatures without problems though, using air or liquid cooling will depend on the user needs and preference.
