My setup:
Gigabyte Z97N-WiFi
Intel 4790k
gskill 16gb 2300
I was having overheating issues and they directed me to the page to change my bios volts and amps for the processor. I turned on the machine after doing this and it stayed cool. However now it kernel panics all the time, sometimes on boot, sometimes it takes an hour or 2. I attempted to reload a different os on but it kernel panics during instalation. Any help is appreciated!

Did you try updating your system BIOS?
What is the clock frequency and voltage set up for the RAM?
I suppose you did but just in case these are the threads dealing with the temperature issue.
