Hello,
My brand new I7-8700k Coffee Lake is only running 3 cores and 6 processors in Task Manager.
It also spikes to 100 percent CPU when I'm running adobe PP and barely even registers on the GTX 1080 TI.
I also ran a bench mark test and it scored worse than most I5s..
I've tried everything please help.
Thanks
Sam

Hey, Thanks for the reply.
I just updated my BIOs and it didn't help, but thanks.
This is my set up.
I believe my CPU is only half running?
Cheers.

I can think of two possibilities, (1) the processor is broken or (2) the BIOS is configured to operate the processor this way.
What happens when you run the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool? If you don't have this tool, you can download it from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool Download Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool.

Hello, SamAS.
I would like to know if you could run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool as N. Scott Pearson recommendations. Also, can you restore your BIOS settings back to default?
