Hi!
I confirm there's no Intel(R) Xeon(TM) Processor with model number as "925". What we rather have is Intel(R) Pentium(R) D processor 925; see the following URL:
http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=0&SearchKey=925
As for "LOT of", I confirm that as long as the Thermal Specification of the CPU does not reach and/or surpass 63.4°C (see http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9KA http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9KA), no overheating is diagnosed.
As for the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Desktop Processor E7400, I confirm our two board models that use that chipset you mention are the Intel(R) Desktop Board DG45ID and Intel(R) Desktop Board DG45FC, and these are compatible, indeed; see the following URL for further details:
http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?ProcNbr=E7400
Finally, in respect to knowing which processor is better, please, know Intel® processors are segmented to meet different customer needs. They all have different features and technologies, and, besides, the performance would depend on the overall system configuration (hardware and software) and not only on the processor itself. Comparison information is available at the following website, though:
http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=36500,27517,
Hope that helps!
