Whats the diffrence between Xeon (silver, gold, etc) and Xeon-W?

I'm replacing a bunch of workstations for Cad engineers, and I saw that there's essentially 2 families of Xeon processors?


I'm guessing the "metal" brands are the "enterprise" versions
and the letter ones are more pro-user version. 

From what I can see they both fully support ECM
the letter versions have a faster core speed but less cores I think?

Are there any other technologies/features separating the 2 types ?
