Hi,
Had my XTC working perfectly on my Asus G834 laptop (i9-13980hx) chip & then for no reason, on bootup today i receive a XTU is incompatible with Windows VBS that enable undervolting.
Yet, my VBS is "Running".
Tried uninstalling & reinstalling XTC but arrive with the same result.
Deleting "iocbios2.sys" & then reinstalling XTC.
From what i can see in the Bios, everything seems fine as well.
Im out of idea's of what to do next.
Ive checked device drivers & it seems fine.

Hello @turbo3000
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
We understand the issue with the Intel® XTU and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Please keep in mind that it is a known issue. ”In certain system configurations, Virtualization Based Security (VBS) and OS features that enable VBS are incompatible with XTU. In these cases, XTU is unable to function when these features are enabled”, you can validate the information here https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29183/XTU-7.13.1.5-ReleaseNotes.pdf
However, you can check the following:
1. Update OS with latest Windows patches.
2. Reinstall the latest Intel® XTU.
3. Ensure the latest BIOS patches are installed with Undervolt Protection (UVP).
4. If Undervolt Protection feature is available in the BIOS, confirm it is enabled.
5. If no Undervolt Protection feature is available in the BIOS, contact OEM for support. Most OEMs have UVP enabled. Some are visible within the BIOS, others are not.
Once the updates have been performed, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.
Best regards,
Jose B.
