I just got a batch of E3-1220V5 from disti. And telling the customer to use E3-1220V6 in the next build. However, the customer is asking if E3-1220V5 has reached its EOL? if not, why change to E3-1220V6?
Intel used to have Roadmap for processors, I don't see that on this site any more.

According to ARK, the E3-1220V5 is still an active product. Roadmap files were never made available on the public web site; they are only available under NDA (unless leaked, of course 😲).

The above processors have been launched already, so they would be part of an old roadmap and it does not appear to be available.
Now, checking on your post:

Based on this matter, the V5 processors are based on Skylake technology, while V6 is a newer family based on Kaby Lake.
Based on ARK comparison between both processors:

Max TDP is lower on the V6 processor with 72W vs 80W on the V5
Faster DDR4 memory is supported with V6 processors (up to 2400) while V5 supports a max of 2133.
Memory bandwidth is also bigger on the V6 processor.
