i9 14900KF Temperature Spiking

HI,

I just built new system, attached system info file,

For CPU cooling I'm using Cooler master ML360L AIO,

System idle temp is about 30C, but anything that start working spike the temp to 100C in less than a second, then if I go idle it go back to 30c within 1-3 seconds,

I did remove the cooler, cleaned and used deferent thermal paste still same issue.

is this real temperature reading?

how can temperature change from 30 to 100 in 1 second?

is it bad CPU?

I’ve checked the specs of ypur processor and I can see that the tjunction is 100°C, meaning its normal for the temperature to reach 100°C. However, to troubleshoot the issue, you can check this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005791/processors/intel-core-processors.html

You can also run the processor test to check if there’s an issue on your processor. Here’s the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005567/processors.html

What software you are using to monitor the temperature? I often use intel xtu. This is the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html

HI There,

I replaced the AIO cooling system, and now it looks better,  Temperatures are more stable, and go max to 90C, It never reach thermal throttle.

but now trying bench marking and single core results in Cinebench are very low, they much worst than 20 years old process

multi core results are ok, but still not high enough for i9-14900

What are the scores in cinebench and the other processor model that you are using for comparison?
