new Intel Scorpion X58 ICH10 LGA1366 12GB DDR3 motherboard with SLI/crossfire With Xeon X5687 cpu. Will this Xeon X5687 work with non ECC memory like 3x4GB DDR3 PC-12800 or PC-10600 installed ?

Hello buckaroo-banzi.-.2031,

I have checked the memory specifications for this processor, and the compatible memory types are DDR3 800/1066/1333. It is possible that yours can work; however, bear in mind that higher-speed DIMMs operate only at the stock MHz memory timing meaning 800/1066/1333.
