Hello vlee9521,

Thank you for posting on the Intel* Community Forums.

  • The processor i5-9500 does not support Windows* 7.
  • The Intel Chipset driver and the Intel Management Engine are different.
  • The Intel Chipset driver installs the Intel Chipset Device Software for all chipset components.
  • The Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) is a layer within the motherboard BIOS that allows interaction between the operating system and the BIOS itself.

For downloads and questions about these components, we suggest that you contact the motherboard manufacturer. Only the motherboard manufacturer is familiar with the drivers available for their platforms.

Well, Microsoft says only W10 on 7th gen or later processors.  The motherboard manufacturer would be going against the rules.

Additionally, W7 is no longer supported.
