My mag tomahawk, Max Wifi Z. 790 chipset. Intel I 9. 14th Gen. G skill. Trident royal ram. 64 gigabytes. 32 * 2. Samsung Pro MVMEM 2SSD2 terabytes., Samsung Evo. NV, M, E, M2 1 terabyte., WD red. H. D. D8. terabytes.. Msi Nvidia 4080. GPU.. not installed yet. New build, novice builder, I believe all updates have been installed, including BIOS. trying to use the Intel extreme tuner. cannot get it to function when I turn on the XMP. Everything freezes.. XMP functions were fine before updating. extreme tuner. and the BIOS patch to enable it. Any help is appreciated. I'm 44 and enjoy tech. very difficult to insult me. Welcome in any and all education on the subject matter. He who knows most knows he knows nothing. The more I learned, the less I know.

If your system was stable before the BIOS update, there might have been a setting introduced that is interfering with XMP. Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings and see if that helps. To rule out whether the issue is with XTU itself, try enabling XMP in the BIOS without running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. If the system still freezes, it may point to an issue with the memory configuration or compatibility. Even though you’ve mentioned that updates are installed, double-check that you have the latest version of Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and that all chipset drivers and system software are up-to-date. Temporarily disable XMP and see if your system becomes stable. DO NOT overclock your 14th gen CPU intel might void warranty.
