Hi Luksona,

I understand you are getting readings on the Intel® XTU program about the current limit throttling. Let me help you on this matter.

I would like to know the exact processor model and your computer configuration, please run the following utility and attach the results.

Intel® System Support Utility:

Hi Allen J.

Excuse me, so this issue has been resolved ? Because I have same issue in XTU(current limit throttling).

Could you teach us how to check something and resolved it.

Thank you.

Hello, 7684 Shen# 7684. Thank you very much for your patience.

I would like to share with you that we have run some tests at our labs with a DELL* XPS Laptop and we could replicate the issue. Let me share with you that the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility will work with any device, however, this tool was specially designed for desktop systems. We do not really know where the readings are coming from in addition, the system manufacturer most of the times pre-defined the BIOS setting which can affect the results.

Problem still exists when i run stress test clocks drop down to 2.6Ghz no overheating max temps are 80-85. normally cpu runs 2.88-3.19 Ghz. Any Idea to fix this ? I tried with battery, without battery, with gpu load and without it still if cpu is stressed it drops clocks down. Also i noticed that if i increase PCL from 55A to 56A frequency dips to 2.66 instead of 2.60-2.61.
