Altera DE1 8-bit Flash ROM as 16-bits?

Hi. My Altera DE1 board has a model 04 Flash ROM which apparently (according to the datasheet) lets me use it as 16-bits instead of 8-bits.

However, when I go to use the Altera DE1 user manual to find the pin outs, all I get are:

  • FLASH Address
  • FLASH Data
  • FLASH Output Enable

  • FLASH Reset

  • FLASH Write Enable

Where are the pins for# BYTE and CE, and the rest of the data pins that make up the 16-bit data pins?

Overall, I just want to be able to use this Flash ROM as 16-bits.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the board has only implemented an 8-bit interface to the flash, so you're stuck with an 8-bit interface.

Cheers,

Dave

Well that's unfair.
