Aria V Transceiver - different RX and TX line rates

Hi,

Can the TX and RX line rates be different for Aria V (or any family) Gigabit transceivers? Given that the RX and TX clocks are independent, it would appear so but I don't see the option to select line rates individually for TX and RX when in duplex mode.

Yes, the TX and RX data rate can be different. Instead of duplex mode, you can configure the PHY in TX only or RX only. Then place them into the same channel.

You might need to have separate reference clocks to the TX and RX.

Depending on the data rates that you have chosen, if the data rates can be derived from a single refclk frequency, then you could share the refclk.
