Dear All.

I'm a noob when it comes to this sort of thing but....

I've got a ubiquiti Access point (two actually) - one that works and one that is completly bricked - no serial console at all.

I've downloaded the Quartus Web edition software and connected it to a USB Blaster Jtag interface and opening the programmer the CPU is seen, when clicking auto detect, except it comes up UNKNOWN. Looking through the list of devices the Atheros AR7241 isnt listed.

My question is, I'm prepared to do some learning but don't know where to start, can this software be used to extract the u-boot partition that is stored on the working access point and flash it to the non working one ?

If anyone is interested, there was a power failure while doing a firmware update and it effectly has erased its own nand.

any constructive help or pointers would be appreciated.

The Quartus software only knows how to access Altera parts on JTAG, it won't let you access the Atheros part. You'll either need an Atheros development kit, or see if a software that can use the USB Blaster to access Atheros components exists somewhere on the net.
