If you are interested in a small soft-core-CPU, please visit www.entner-electronics.com (http://www.entner-electronics.com) (product-section). Its performance is of course not comparable with the Nios, but it is very small (between 100 http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif and 200 LEs (depending on the configuration) in a Cyclone, 60MHz with the slowest speed-grade). If you like, it is the counterpart to PicoBlaze for Altera.

I hope you find it interesting. We will also show this core running on the Embedded World 2005 fair in Nürnberg (Germany) at the end of February.

Now you can download a simple evaluation for ERIC5 from our homepage (note: you should also download the updated preliminary datasheets). It contains a .sof-File that can be programmed onto the Nios-Kit, 1C20-Edition (LCD-display has to be attached) and allows you to assemble and download some test-programs.
