They might want you to sign an NDA to access the files. You would then need to be careful, since the NDA language might put constraints on your new product, since it would be based on their design. You really don't need their schematic. If you don't mind sharing your design, you can always post it here, plenty of people will provide feedback. The schematics of most Altera and Terrasic evaluation boards are available for download. You can get many design ideas from it. Or are you trying to understand a specific design detail of the BeMicro stick?

--- Quote Start --- Nope, just of the 256 bga device. --- Quote End --- Then don't bother trying to get the schematics. Just ask questions here on the forum. Here's what I'd do: 1) Decide on a power-on configuration scheme. 2) Wire up JTAG. 3) Add your I/O components. 4) PCB design tips: a) Route the power pins on the BGA first. Place an 0402 decoupling cap on every power pin directly on the via. The ground of the cap then goes on a ground via next to a power pin if it exists, or an I/O pin via if the ground pin does not exist. If you need to use an I/O via for ground, then you essentially lose access to that I/O pad. This is why you want to do the power pins first - in both the schematic and PCB layout. Given that you will be placing a component (the cap) on top of a via, you need to get the PCB manufacturer to epoxy fill the ends of the power vias, and then plate them. This stops solder wicking into the vias. b) Expose all signal and configuration pin vias on the underside of the board. Then you can probe them. Cheers, Dave
