Hi,

In BBMV User Guide they have specified Cyclone and Cyclone II device can be programmed, That means cyclone III and cyclone IV(E and GX) chips cant able to program it?

The manual reflects the available FPGA families at it's publication date. I don't expect restrictions, as long as your circuit uses a programmer voltage of at least 3.0V. But the Altera recommended voltage of 2.5V is outside the Byteblaster MV specification.

As another restriction, Byteblaster MV doesn't support As programming.

Hello FvM,

Thanks for reply. So for in this case(cyclone III and IV) we have to use USB Blasters only.

So i think in my previous thread of Byte Blaster cable Length problem might be of this issue also.

if your circuit is designed to use 3.0 or 3.3V for the JTAG inerface, it should work with ByteBlaster MV.

Hello FvM.

No. My circuit is designed for 2.5V for JTAG power supply.

Thanks once again Fvm.
