Hello,
we using a floating network-licence on a Win2k8Server. The Flexlm works fine with our licence. But we can´t connect QuartusII Software, installed on workstation(WinXP), to our licenceserver. FYI: Host:server Port:27000 Path: C:\FlexLM\licence.dat Which is the right command to put in the box "Licence File:"? eg. from altera readme: "@server:27000@C:\FlexLM\licence.dat" Cheers TimLink Copied

we have inside this box the complete path where the used Licence.dat is stored on the server. f.e. "Q:\Altera\Licence.dat"
inside the Licence.dat the first 4 lines : SERVER MyServerName *MyNICID_MAC* 1800 VENDOR alterad C:\FlexLM\alterad.exe VENDOR mgcld C:\FlexLM\mgcld.exe USE_SERVER FlexLM is stored as you can see on Drive C of the Server and executed there. Have you tried the lmutil lmdiag to check the connection between you pc and the server that holds the licence ?- Mark as New

on your client you'll want to put 27000@server in the license file or LM_LICENSE_FILE variable.

Here are our first four lines:
SERVER server XXXXXXMACXXX 27000 VENDOR alterad \flexlm\alterad.exe VENDOR mgcld \flexlm\mgcld.exe USE_SERVER This sting is in our Licence file box: @server:27000@C:\FlexLM\licence.dat But in my opinion the command in the Licence file box isn´t correct. Do some body know the right command? Where could i download "lmutil lmdiag" to check the status? I can only find lmutil.exe in a folder, but this programm doesn´t show any status. Thanks for your response Tim- Mark as New
