Hi everyone,
I can run the FPGA test example within with in the package CD on the DE5-Net network board. But every time after I reboot the machine, the machine can't detect the FPGA board. I have to turn off the power and turn on again so that the board can be used again(Reboot is not enough). Every time when after I tried to test the example on the FPGA board, the error "MMD INFO : [acl0] PCIe-to-fabric read test failed, read 0xffffffff after 1 attempts" shows up and I have to turn off and turn on the machine again. The FPGA can work until this morning. After I used "aocl flash acl0 bin/fft2d.aocx” to program fft2d.aocx OpenCL image onto the startup configuration flash of DE5-NET" to download the image file into the FPGA board, and I turn off and turn on again as usual to make it work. After that, I can't detect the board till now. I reinstalled the OS and then followed the same steps many times I did to configure the FPGA, but it can't be detected with "$aocl diagnose" and even $lspci ! I have two DE5-net board and changed it with the other one, and I changed the slot of PCIe to plugin, but it still can't detect the board. I appreciate if you have any suggestion. I will be waiting online to get the solution. Best regards, JiawenLink Copied

ff2d.aocx is a test example of the CD of DE5-Net board. After I run that program, I can't detect the board in $aocl diagnose and even $lspci. Did you have any suggestion about this?

poorer, thanks for your concerning and reply. It's from the Terasic startup guide. The board is made by Terasic and I downloaded the latest version of driver for it. I also followed the guide from Altera, but it also didn't work.

maybe you can paste the complete boot up message which include before and after the ERROR happens, maybe others in the forum may also have a look with it and able to provide inputs..

Hi pororo,
Thank you for you reply. The situation is that I can't detect the board with "$aocl diagnose" and even "$lspci". I have installed the driver successfully. I can use the board before I used "aocl flash acl0 bin/fft2d.aocx” to download the image file into the FPGA board. Is there any ways to reset the board for the default setting? Best Wishes, Jiawen
