Cyclone II End of life?

My parts supplier says that the EP2C5Q208C7N is becoming obsolete. Can anyone confirm this? Perhaps it is only the non lead free version that is being phased out?

Arrow doesn't seem to list the part as phased out. But with a PQFP package, AFAIK you can use the lead free version with a leaded process. This isn't the case with BGAs of course.

You should ask an Altera represenative or authorized distributor. If you have previously purchased an Altera part, they'll inform you about changes related to it, including obsolence and last buy announcements.

Personally I won't expect Cyclone II devices to be cancelled that early. There may be possibly exceptions of individual types that don't achieve sufficient sales figures.
