Hi

We are using the GPI pins in the Cyclone V processor. Our DDR voltage is 1.35V. What is the maximum input voltage these pins can tolerate? pins are listed below.

In our design we have connected 3V3 pull up to this line.

HPS_GPI13   -  V24

HPS_GPI12   -  AC27

HPS_GPI9     -  Y26

HPS_GPI6     -  T17

Hi Binoy

From the De1-SOC-Schematics you can see, that all banks have vcio=3.3V

vcio=3.3v (except the HPS-banks which use 1.5V

1.5v). Pins on these banks will correctly detect 2.5V CMOS input , but they will not be able to generate 2.5V output.

Thank you,

Aliff

Hi Binoy,

I will check the information about the listed pin and what is the maximum input voltage these pins can tolerate.

I will back soon

Thank you,

Aliff

Thanks for the Update. You are right, I am expecting the same answer. What is the maximum voltage these pins can tolerate?

Hi Binoy

After checking this datasheet https://cdrdv2-public.intel.com/666692/cv_51002-683801-666692.pdf the Max voltage the pin can tolerate was 3.465v

Thanks for clearing the doubt.

We had a confusion regarding the following pins.

HPS_GPI13   -  V24

HPS_GPI12   -  AC27

HPS_GPI9     -  Y26

HPS_GPI6     -  T17

Since these pins are belongs to BANK 6B and our 6B bank voltage is connected to VDDR = 1.35V.

If you can mention the datasheet location it would be great.

Thanks Regards

Binoy Johnson

Hi Binoy,

The maximum voltage also will follow the VDD as well

For full document you can refer to https://cdrdv2-public.intel.com/654351/pcg-01014.pdf page, 25-30

Let me know if i answer your question
