Hi All

I've been using an epm764lc44-10 for a project for a while but these are very expensive to get now.

I got a load of epm7064li44-15 which are compatable with the code but i can't get these devices to show up when i click 'detect jtag info' using the altera programmer...

Programmer is Byteblaster II.

The 7064lc44-10 detect fine and program without any problem.

Any ideas why?

Thanks

As one possible explanation, the devices may be pre-programmed with configuration that uses the JTAG pins for general IO. In this case, a parallel programmer would be needed to reenable the JTAG interface.

There have been also MAX7000 types without ISP (JTAG) function.
