Hello,

I have create my own PCB with a cyclone III which I program in AS.

My board have work for months without problem but since this morning I have the message "Error: Can't recognize silicon ID for device 1" when I try to program the memory EPCS16I8N.

I have change the memory.

I have verify the value of the MSELs

When i try to program Data stay to '1', nCE go from '0' to '1' and nCONFIG go from '1' to '0' during half the time.

When not in programming I have periodic signals on Data and ASDI. Is it normal ?

Does someone known what could be the problem and what to do for correcting it ?

Thank you.

What kind of programmer are you using, and does it work on other boards?

It may be the programmer has failed. This is especially possible with a certain generation of USB Blasters, if you leave them attached to a powered board without the usb port connected to a computer.

I'm using a Usb-Blaster and I have use it in JTAG mode since and I haven't a problem.

I have already see, the board don't work when when the programmer is connect without the usb port to a computer.

Is it possible the programmer is out of work only for a mode ?
