Hi,

we have an issue with one of the components within the firmware of the EtherneBlaster II:

Dropbear SSH Multiple Security Vulnerabilities

Port: 22/tcp

Vulnerable version of Dropbear SSH - SSH-2.0-dropbear_2014.66 detected on port 22 over TCP.

Generic Remediation Instructions:          Customers are advised to upgrade to Dropbear SSH 2016.74 or later versions to remediate these vulnerabilities.

Patch: Following are links for downloading patches to fix the vulnerabilities: Dropbear SSH 2016.74 or later

Information for EthernetBlaster II Configuration

IP Address:

xxxxxxxxx

Hostname:

xxxxxxxxx

System Uptime:

119h 27m 49s

JTAG Server Status:

Running

Main Firmware Build:

2016-04-30---10-54-45

JTAG Firmware Build:

14.0.0.139

FPGA Build:

Is there any update available with a newer or fixed version of SSH? Or is there any other tool planned for debugging FPGAs with Ethernet connection?

Best regards,

Torsten

Hello Aiman,

this page is telling that the firmware upgrading for EthernetBlaster (II) has been discontinued.

This is a very bad message for a network device where an outdated and compromised component (SSH 2014) is used.

And it seems there is no replacement available.

Bad luck.

Regards,

 Torsten

Hi  Torsten,

Yes, Ethernet blaster II has been discontinued. Hence we have limited support for this device.

We truly apologize for the inconveniences.
