Fractional PLL reconfiguration

I am using Arria V FPGA for the current project. Its required for me to switch between different frequencies at run time.

I downloaded the reference design mentioned in link of AN-661 "Implementing Fractional PLL Reconfiguration with

Altera PLL and Altera PLL Reconfig IP Cores", Design Example -1.

However when I try to restore the archived file, I get the following 2 errors:

Error (125048): Error reading Quartus II Settings File D:/kiran/pll_reconfig_mnc_fifteen/Test.qsf, line 249

Error (23031): Evaluation of Tcl script e:/altera/12.0/quartus/common/tcl/apps/qpm/qar.tcl unsuccessful

What might be the problem.

Note : I am using Eval license

Are you using the same Quartus II version that the refernce design was created?

I am using Quatrus II, 32 Bit, version 12.0 Build 263, Service pack installed 2.

I dont know in what Quatrus version the reference project is created.

Hi, I would suggest that you use the latest Quartus II 15.0 to open the project. I check the AN, it seems like the most recent AN release is May 2015. Probably the design example has been updated also.

Agree with nic_@, try with latest QII version which might have backward compatibility with older modules.
