Cortex M I fear require a footprint too large to fit on MAX10, Cortex M are not freely available.

Hi Roberto,
Thanks for the response. To be more specific, the ARM Cortex M series processor i am interested to use is Cortex M0, which can be download for free; while for the MAX10 FPGA, I am referring to MAX 10 DE10-Lite board. I found a step by step instruction published for Implementing Cortex-M0 using a Xilinx FPGA, as shown in link below.
