HI,

I am working on Quatrus II tool and I want to use several megafuntions in my project. However I am confused about the licensing of the cores.

Is it that megafunctions are availble for free and megacores require licensing and pricing.

Please help.

If you can generate the core, then you have a licence to use it.

It depends on which megafunction or megacore that you are looking at. Generally the protocol specific IP would require license. Simpler module ie transceiver PHYs are free.

Hi Nagakiran,

You can check into the specific megacore's user guide or documentation. It should tell you if license if required or not.
