Looking for good dev board for video switching

Hey Altera forum users,

I am looking to creating some project where I take some input HDMI signals (including audio) and then route those HDMI signals to some output HDMI, for any type of signals and up to 1080p60 (not 3D). If possible, I'd also like to have the ability to "peek" inside the HDMI signal (so I could theoretically extract the audio signal, and strip HDCP if such a thing is possible). Of course, I should be able to choose what output each input should go to (via some software logic, most likely).

Now my problem is what board should I start with? Is there any good solutions out there? It can't be too expensive (well, unless I can one for free, that is >_<). I'd say $100-$200 is a good range, but I might just be expecting too much. I don't know. I've seen daughter boards being available, but they are expensive as heck, so I'd rather not go that way. I'd like, if possible, to have at least 3 inputs and 2 outputs, but the more, the better. I'm also looking at driving at least 3 inputs and 2 outputs at the same time

Anyone knows if there is something out there? Maybe these requirements are too unrealistic?

Thanks.

Hi Essentia,

You could try to refer to https://www.altera.com/products/boards_and_kits/all-development-kits.html to see if there is any board that meet your requirement and budget.
