Lost Quartus II project

hi  

i am a university student, made servo control board using MAX 3000 device now i have lost my quartus II project (Student Version) because of my harddisk failure now i have only one programmed EPM3128ATC100 device , may i recover my project filed from this device.

Hi, 

 

I don't for sure, but if your lucky you can read back the programming of the device.  

You will not be able to recover your complete project.

Unfortunately you will be able only to recover a binary programming file but not the source code.

Connect the programmer to your board -> choose Examine  

This loads the programming dataint oa temporary file. 

 

Then choose "Save file"

When you has opened the programmer click on "Add device" and choose your device. 

After that the examine option will be available.

Sorry, I was not aware that you are using Max+PlusII, nevertheless it should also work.

What kind of HW do you us for programming ? ( USB-Blaster ???) 

 

I have a picture attached, were you can see how to switch on the examine feature.

which programming mode are using ? Did you use a Altera Web edition ?

Did you use the "JTAG" programming mode ? Unfortunately I have not the Quartus 8.0 Web edition available, but in the 8.1 Version I'm able to switch the examine feature on.
