I need to support a legacy design using Max Plus II and have just requested and received a new license file.
The new license file does not enable features such as Graphics Editor, Symbol Editor, or any device support. The Max Plus software is useless without any of these features.
How can I get these features enabled?
Thanks.

Hi BKota2,
You need a valid license to run the MAX+PLUS II software. However, MAX+PLUS II license is no longer available for purchase.
You can purchase the Intel Quartus Prime license that includes a full feature of MAX+PLUS II software.

You also can refer to software selector.

Thanks!

I realize you need a valid license to run the MAX+PLUS software. I have always obtained this via the self-licensing process your website. This self-licensing process still exists and appears to be functional (I can request a license and receive one a few moments later.) The issue is that this received license file does not enable any of the features of the software.
Referring to the software selector, there is the following entry -
MAX+PLUS II BASELINE | No-cost, entry-level version of MAX+PLUS II software that can be downloaded from www.altera.com; supports selected low-density devices | NIC ID or hard-disk serial number (7) |
|
So is there no longer any license available for MAX+PLUS other than a purchased Quartus Prime license?
Thank you.

Yes, user may download a free license for MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software but with limited feature. This is because the support for MAX+PLUS II has been discontinued.

At this moment, yes. The best solution is Intel Quartus Prime license, it includes a full version of MAX+PLUS II.
