Max V vs. MAX II

Hello, 

 

did anybody know whats the different between MAX II und MAX V? 

Max V seems to be identical to MAX II, isn´t it? 

Whats the reason why Altera make a new family with "identical" performance, etc... 

Did anybody know something about the pricing bwtween MAX II and V?

the MAX V now goes down to 40 LE which is useful 

 

you can get a baseline comparison of pricing on altera.com if you click the buy button, but obviously talking to your local distributor is best
