Max10 vs Socs: Differences in Nios II Processors of the two systems.

Hi

I have some general questions regarding to differences between Max10 and Socs (e.g. Cyclon V). As far as I understand, Max10 does not have an integrated MCU while Cyclon does have one. However one can use the Nios-II processor in both Max10 and Cyclon V for software programming. My question are:

- Are the Nios-II Processor in Max10 and the Nios-II Processor in Cyclon the same ?

- And in Socs, how can man indicate specifically that the hardcore-integrated MCU should be used instead of Software-MCU.

Thanks
