Newbie looking for a "Blink-the-LED" tutorial

Hi All,

I am a complete newbie in FPGA but have some experience in playing with circuits and MCUs.

Recently a friend of mine passed me a BeMicroSDK stick. I have installed Qartus and finished the PDF tutorial for NiosII (the FIR filter sample).

At this point I'm not so sure. My understanding is that NiosII is a "soft" processor running on top of the Cyclone FPGA, which is configured so to be a processor.

Now I am wondering, can I configure the FPGA to run the simplest click a button to light an LED sample? What kind of software do I need to configure the FPGA to run simple circuits? Are ther tutorials out there for this dev kit without using NiosII?

Thanks!
