Hii, I started using DE1 board as part of my BTP Project. I have also installed 12.0sp2_263_quartus_free_windows . This is a 32 bit version. My PC is 64 bit version.

My doubts are

1)There is altera debug client given on the CD along with FPGA board.I cannot install it as it says it requires NIOS EDS version 5.1 or above.

Is nios not installed automatically as a part of 12.0sp2_263_quartus_free_windows.

2)Even If I try to install NIOS EDS 12.0sp2_legacy_nios2_windows it is facing the below problem.

you must install the service pack in the same directory as existing Quartus 2 software installation.Specify the directory for the existing installation.

I couldn't find exact path for this.

Can any body help me out with this please???
