Hello:
I have been using the Byteblaster II for a few years on many designs. Over the last few days it started to act up after possibly some damaged hardware got introduced. The device I am programming is a EPM570 CPLD and the device will erase, program but not "verify" so it erases over again and fails the programming. It used to work just fine and I have programmed all of these devices previously. Can the dongle fail or is there a particular wire in the programmer or chain that is critical to verify. The fact that it recognizes the devices, programs and erases successfully seems to indicate that all is fine. Any help would be appreciated.Link Copied

Have you reprogrammed the same device too much? There is a life cycle on the number of erase/writes the EPM's can handle, if my memory serves me right it is around 100 cycles.

Found the problem--it was the dongle. Intermittent wiring
