Good Day!
I am novice as related to Quartus software, so I pledge to excuse me for the question. Quartus WEB edition v. 13.0 was download from Altera site and installed on my computer. The problem is access to any point in Help menu. The software generates error message: "Can't locate the web browser. Specify a web browser in the Internet Connectivity page of the Option dialog box on the Tool menu." The problem relates to any browsers installed on computer. The stand alone help was operates as well, but it is not easy to work without access to on-line information. Computer configuration: OS: Windows XP SP3 Browsers: Mozilla Firefox v. 25.0 (default), Internet Explorer v.7.0 Internet: Via router with Super DMZ mode enabled. Please help and thank in advance: GregoryLink Copied

I'm not sure exactly why you have your problem. I have four different browsers installed, including Firefox. Changing Quartus to use any of them works as I expect.
Under 'Tools' -> 'Options...', select the 'Internet Connectivity' menu on the left. Ensure the 'Web browser' path to your chosen browser is correct.- Mark as New

Good Day!
Thank You very much for fast response. Unfortunately it is no work. I try to rescan path to any of the installed browser, change any other parameter on the Internet Connectivity page, but result stays the same: software is not able to locate Internet browser. If You have any additional information, please, transfer it to me. Gregory- Mark as New

Can you run your browser by pasting the path into the 'Run' dialogue box under XP's 'Start' menu? Click on 'Start' (typically bottom left of screen), and click 'Run...' Copy and paste in the path that you've entered into Quartus and click OK. Does that start your browser?
You can try the same thing from a DOS command prompt. Paste the path there and hit return. Browser boot? Assuming so, then I suggest you re-install the Quartus tools...- Mark as New

Good Day!
Yes, browser starts, when its reference is copied from Quartus software to Run command. More over tutorials are accessible via reference: \install_dir\quartus\common\help\tutorials\=qtutorial.htm. Software help is not accessible in any way. Unfortunately at time it is not possible to reinstall the Quartus. I'll reinstall it as soon as it will be possible and transfer to You the results. Thank You for help and advice. Gregory- Mark as New

Good Day!
Last minute information about the problem. Quartus II Web edition v.13.0 was reinstalled with the same results: no access to any WEB browsers. After that, Quartus II Web edition v. 13.1 was downloaded from official ALTERA site, software v. 13.0 was de-installed and new software was installed again. Now it is possible to use Help topics except items "Devices and adapters" and "EDA interfaces". More important, that contest sensitive help may not be used because whole help window is loaded instead it. In software v. 13.1 page Tools\Option\Internet connectivity has no provisions to select WEB browser at all. It is really strange. In any case many thanks to all Gregory- Mark as New

In any case many thanks to all Gregory --- Quote End --- The option in Quartus has been removed. You need to set the default browser that Help uses within Windows by doing this: The “Web browser” option has been removed as a feature enhancement, Quartus II 13.1 should now detect OS default browser and automatically use that. You need to go to Control Panel>>Programs>>Default Programs>>Set Default Programs page to set specify the default programs (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 10).
