Ubuntu is not a supported Linux version for Quartus. People have reported getting it working, but it won't work out of the box. I've used Centos, a free version of Red Hat with VMware player. It works except for JTAG.

I'm using QSys 15.0 and 15.1 on Ubuntu 12.04.

I've noticed that every time I open Qsys, after the splash screen the Qsys window is resized to a TINY little sliver of a window on the left side of the screen. I must resize to actually use Qsys. Maybe check if the window is hiding somewhere on (or off) your screen?

hello,

the problem was solved by installing 32 libraries for Qsys.
