Hi,
I'm pretty new to Altera, Just downloaded web edition and started working. However we are suppose to work on megafunction IP lpm_add_sub (just to get acquainted with quartus). I have Ubuntu 9.10. The problem is linux version of quartus clearly doesn't have lpm IPs in megawizard. Does anyone have a clue? I'm comfortable with linux if it needs to be tweaked however I can't find any answer, Any help will be appreciated Thank YouLink Copied

is your QUARTUS_ROOTDIR environment variable set to the quartus directory of your installation?

As I said I just started with Quartus the other day so no, I didn't set $ROOTDIR moreover I didn't install on default location (/opt/quartus9.1). Is that the issue?
If yes can you point me to tutorial or something with required steps (I can setup environment just not sure what are parameters). Thanks for reply P.S. I installed windows version through wine which seems to be working good- Mark as New

no, you can place Quartus where you'd like, you just have to set the environment variable to point there. see page 79 and on:

Hey,
Setting path helped to get few other IPs like DSP and all however no lpm packages. Furthermore installation guide (page no. 26) clearly says there maybe some features missing from linux version as its beta. I guess I'll just have to wait till release candidate. Can any Altera moderator comment on this issue? Thanks again thepancake
