STAPL FPGA driver for Linux

Hello,

I need to use a specific soc (TI's DM814x) with Linux for FPGA programming with SPATL. We have dedicated some of the GPIOs in SOC for this purpose.

I would like to ask:

1 . Is there some utility which can be compiled and used with Linux ? If there is - how should I assign our GPIOs for the jtag emulation ?

2. I have found that in latest Linux there is a driver for this purpose in /Linux/drivers/misc/altera-stapl/, But there is no documentation how it should be used.

Is there any documentation for how to use it ? Can it be used with any GPIO of SOC ? (I see that it says "depends on i2c", does it mean that it should only use i2c pins ? ) How should the driver be assigned with the chosen GPIOs (kernel assign) ?

Thank you!
