Hello,
I have a problem with the configuration of a Stratix II GX FPGA (EP2SGX130). I am using AS-programming with EPCS64. When I use a "standard" .pof-file the configuration procedure stops after a while (nSTATUS getting low) and starts again from the beginning (auto restart after error is enabled). CONF_DONE does not reach high-level at all. The Quartus software does not give any error-message when programming the EPCS64. When I use a compressed .pof-file then all works perfectly and CONF_DONE is getting high. Does anyone know, what the problem with the uncompressed images could be or how to debug it? I am using a custom board for the FPGA. On an Altera Development Board with the EP2SGX90 (and also EPCS64) it works with the compressed and the uncompressed pof-files. Thank you for your help! you may be using an older version of the software
see link below http://www.altera.com/support/kdb/solutions/rd08082006_743.html if you are then upgrade or download the patch which accompanies this link- Mark as New

Thank you aka_fpga_wizard,
in my case CONF_DONE doesn't transition to high-status at all. And I am using Quartus II version 7.2. But maybe there is still a bug in the software?!? Anyway, I am using compression know but keep your link in mind for the case I get configuration errors again. Thanks again, Johnny
