THS8134b : D/A problem

Hi,everyone.

I am using the FPGA board "ALTERA Cyclone EP2C35F672C8N" and trying to display some colors on my monitor through the VGA port.

The problem is there is a D/A chip "THS8134b" on the bord. After reading the datasheet,i still can not understand the function of the signals:sync,sync_t,m1 and m2

Can someone who has the experience on it help me to understand this?

Is that necessary to assign values for these signals ? or i can just use only r,g,b,h_sync,v_sync,blank to display.

THX.

I'm using the THS8135 on a board solely for the purpose of generating analog sync. It's not exactly the same but similar to the THS8134B. Correct me if I'm wrong but there is no H_sync and V_sync on the DAC right?
