The issues about "optimized away during sweep"

Hi there, I have a question about optimized away during sweep. You know I have one same project which didn't meet this issue when I used it for Cyclone V and Quartus version is QII13.0. But I met this optimization issue when I compiled this project after I change device from CV to C10GX, and changed Quartus version from QII13.0 to Quartus Prime Pro 22.4. Then I got several Entity in the message window "Hierarchies optimized away during sweep", as the attached image shows. Why can this happen?11.png

 

BTW, I also have the issue of couldn't reply in Intel forum.

Hi,


Hierarchies Optimized Away During Sweep is enhanced synthesis reports to provide information about entities that were optimized away during synthesis starting from version 21.3 check this link https://wcm-stg.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/641306/21-3/new-features-and-enhancements.html

You can go to Compilation Report, Synthesis -> Partition " " -> Optimization Results check for optimization reason.
