Transceiver for wireless communication system

I'm working on building a wireless communication system based on protocol 802.11a with the DSP Development Kit, Cyclone III Edition. 

 

I need a transceiver that receives IQ signals from the HSMC board and transmit them in the 5 Ghz band (it would also be another lower frequency, for example, 2,4 GHz). 

Could someone suggest me a transceiver to use in my desing? Require that the transceiver has a development kit or starter kit because create a PCB from the beginning could be very difficult.
