adding logic circuit to already running NiosII core ?

Hello @all,

is it possible adding a synthesized logic circuit (from vhdl or verilog file) being an addition to an already running NiosII core for enhanced "on the fly" functionality or configuration change without resetting a fpga processor (e.g. Cyclone III)?

Thx and best regards,

In a newer device, like Stratix 10 or Agilex, yes.  You can do partial reconfiguration in those devices.  Cyclone III does not have this feature, so no.
